Soft Tidings brings together images of inner and outer waters, where the intimacy of ultrasound scans meets the expansiveness of landscape photography. Printed with self-made pigments such as steel, aluminum, mother-of-pearl, copper, and rust, the series explores how water shapes both the body and its environment. Each material carries its own transformation: copper oxidizes, steel resists, mother-of-pearl reflects, and rust erodes. Soft Tidings considers the convergences of interior and exterior worlds as they borrow from each other’s visual language and ultimately oscillate.
